Delete your MESSA app account

This page explains how to delete a MESSA app account (iPhone, Android and the website) made by Maximum Effort Speed and Strength Academy.

Delete it in the app

  1. Open the MESSA app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile, then Delete account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm. The account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Or ask us by email

Email coach@maximumeffort.academy from the email address on the account, with the subject "Delete my MESSA account". We delete it within 30 days and reply when it is done. A parent can ask for a child's athlete to be deleted the same way.

Delete some data and keep the account

Email coach@maximumeffort.academy from the email address on the account and tell us what to delete: an athlete you added (for example a child), saved hurdle timer runs and videos, or your date of birth, Instagram and bio. You can also clear your date of birth, Instagram and bio yourself in the app under Profile. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your login and profile
  • The athletes you added, including children, and their sharing with other logins
  • Hurdle timer runs, splits and run videos saved on the account
  • Notification settings, push tokens, reviews and training blocks

What is kept

Squad competition results that MESSA coaches record, and a squad athlete's name on the MESSA squad list, are MESSA's training records and are not part of the app account. You can ask us to remove or correct these by email too.
